The story

A satchel from the middle of the 1990s, made of thick, polished leather in a deep chocolate brown. The flap closes with two straps and brass buckles, and the leather handle is folded and stitched so it sits comfortably in the hand. You can see the stitching everywhere: even, strong, and meant to last. The leather has begun to darken where hands have held it, which is how good leather tells its own story. It carries a book, a notebook, and a sweater. Take it to work, to class, or on a train with a long way to go.
