Privacy Policy

This page explains what eirlyss.com collects today, while the site is a preview: the pieces shown are examples, and nothing can be bought yet. Last updated: October 2026.

Who we are

EIRLYS’S is an online shop for one-of-one vintage clothing and antique objects at eirlyss.com. For any question about your data, write to [email protected].

What we collect and why

  • When you join the list on the home page: your email address. We use it only to tell you when the collection opens and when new pieces arrive. The site keeps no copy of it; it goes straight to our email service, Brevo (below). There is no confirmation email.
  • When you email us: your message and your email address.
  • When you ask about a piece with the form on its page: your email address, your question and, if you give it, your name. They go through our email service, Brevo, to our inbox, and the site keeps no copy of a question that was sent; a question that could not be sent stays in the site’s mail log for seven days (and in its safety copies for longer). To limit repeated questions, the site keeps a scrambled form of your IP address for up to an hour, and your browser keeps your unsent text in that tab only.
  • When you visit the site: your IP address, your browser type and the pages you open are written to technical logs that keep the site running and secure. To limit repeated sign-up attempts, the site also keeps a short-lived, scrambled form of your IP address for ten minutes.
  • We take no orders and no payments yet, so we collect no names, addresses or card details.

We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.

Pieces you have looked at

To suggest pieces you may like, the site remembers in your browser which pieces you have opened here: each piece’s number and its category, decade, material, color and price, and when and how often you looked. This history is kept in your browser’s storage for this site, not in a cookie, for up to 180 days and for about 300 pieces at most.

Your browser uses it here to choose which pieces to ask our server for next, under each piece. Our server then sees which pieces are asked for, as it does for any page you open; the history itself is not sent to us. While a tab is open, the browser also keeps the order of the pieces shown under each piece you visit, so the Back button returns you to the same place; that order is deleted when the tab is closed.

Under every piece you can choose “Clear my viewing history” to delete it and the saved order, or “Pause” to stop the site remembering until you choose “Resume”. Clearing this site’s data in your browser deletes it too.

Services we use

  • Brevo keeps our sign-up list and sends our emails.
  • Cloudflare delivers the website and protects it from attacks. It sees every visitor’s IP address and the pages they open, and it may hide email addresses on our pages from robots with a small script. Cloudflare also counts visits to our pages with its Web Analytics: a small script it adds to each page reports which page was opened, how quickly it loaded and the type of browser and device, without cookies.
  • The site itself runs on a computer we own, not at a hosting company; its logs and its safety copies (backups) stay on that computer.
  • WordPress, the software the site runs on, may load emoji pictures from its own server (s.w.org) in older browsers that cannot draw them; that server then sees your IP address.
  • Google Workspace holds our inbox, [email protected], so the emails you send us are stored there.

Cookies

  • Browsing sets no cookie. When you put a piece in your bag, the shop sets three cookies that keep your bag working: woocommerce_items_in_cart and woocommerce_cart_hash, which end with your visit, and wp_woocommerce_session_, which lasts two days.
  • Cloudflare may set a cookie it needs for security, for example after a visitor passes a security check.
  • We use no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.

How long we keep your data

  • The sign-up list: until you ask us to remove you.
  • Emails to [email protected]: until we delete them.
  • Technical logs: they are overwritten as they fill up; Cloudflare keeps its own logs for a limited time. Safety copies of the site are replaced over time.

Your choices

To leave the list, or to ask for a copy of your data or for its deletion, write to [email protected].

Changes

Before the shop opens for sales, this page will be updated to cover orders and payments.
