A perfume bottle from about 1920, cut from heavy clear glass. The body is square and faceted, and the stopper rises above it in a tall stepped shape, like a small building from that decade. Every edge was cut and polished on a wheel, so the bottle breaks light into little flashes when the sun reaches it. The stopper still fits snugly, and the glass rings softly when you put it back. Keep it on a dressing table with your favorite scent, or empty on a windowsill, where it will do what it was made to do: hold the light.
