A peasant blouse from the early 1970s in white cotton, light and slightly crisp. The yoke is embroidered by hand in satin stitch: red and orange flowers with green leaves, set close together like a garland. The same flowers return in small sprays at the cuffs, finished with red ties. The blouse is cut full and gathered at the neck, so it drops loosely from the shoulders and moves in the wind. You can feel the raised thread under your fingers. Wear it with faded jeans and sandals, loose over the hips, on the first warm day of the year.
